On January 15, Chen Huanchun, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Huazhong Agricultural University, and Jin Meilin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor of Huazhong Agricultural University, led a team to Dekon for guidance and exchange. Wang Degen, Founder of Dekon Group, Yao Hailong, CEO of Dekon Group, Hu Wei, Vice President of Dekon Group, Dr. Shu Dingming, Chief Scientist and other group leaders attended the symposium.
At the meeting, the two sides had extensive exchanges on agriculture, food, health industry and sci-tech innovation.
Academician Chen Huanchun first thanked Dekon Group for its thoughtful reception. After listening to the introduction of Dekon’s development strategy, development goals and positioning, he fully affirmed the series of achievements made by Dekon in uniting and leading farmers, supporting planting and breeding circulation, promoting rural revitalization and creating high-quality food, and was also very optimistic about Dekon’s future industrial planning.
He pointed out that Dekon’s diversified ecological system with “food quality as the core” can effectively drive the efficient and high-quality development of breeding industry. In particular, Dekon has strong advantages in southwest China, which can achieve green and healthy breeding, support the development of high-end food industry, and greatly ensure food safety. Dekon has a strong industrial chain advantage and produces high-quality meat products, which can meet the increasing demand of consumers for quality. This development plan is highly in line with the national strategy.
He hopes that in the future, scientific research institutions represented by Huazhong Agricultural University can continue to deepen cooperation with leading enterprises such as Dekon, and continue to exert their efforts in sci-tech innovation, product innovation and service innovation, deliver scientific and technological achievements to the hands of farmers, and make more positive contributions to China’s food safety and the work regarding agriculture, rural areas and farmers.
Academician Jin Meilin expressed gratitude to Dekon Group for its recognition and trust in Huazhong Agricultural University’s scientific and technological achievements and products over the years. She was moved by Dekon’s efforts in uniting and leading farmers, and promoting rural revitalization based on the national strategy. She hopes that the two sides will continue to anchor rural revitalization, widely apply scientific and technological innovation achievements to rural areas in China, and contribute to the country’s agricultural modernization.
Wang Degen, on behalf of the Group, first welcomed the two academicians who led a team to Dekon for guidance and exchange, and thanked them for their long-term strong support for Dekon’s development. He systematically introduced the high-quality development of Dekon in recent years and Dekon’s efforts in creating high-standard and high-quality safe food. He focused on explaining the implementation and advantages of Dekon’s “uniting and leading farmers, helping farmers increase their incomes, promoting industrial ecology, and supporting rural revitalization” mode, and elaborating on the improvement of core competitiveness realized by Dekon after investing heavily in capital, technology and talents in scientific and technological fields such as breeding, health and nutrition.
